A man has appeared in Manukau District Court facing charges of bestiality and indecent assault of various animals in Rotorua, Taupo and Tauranga.
The 26-year-old man was facing charges related to alleged incidents with animals dating back to 2005 and one charge of indecent assault against a child from 2004.
He was charged with bestiality with a bull, a cat, a calf, a dead calf and two dogs.
He was also charged with committing an act of indecency with two dogs and a goat and willfully mistreating a cat causing it to die by drowning it.
The offending was alleged to have happened at various times from 2005 to 2013 in Rotorua, Taupo and Tauranga.
