Tauranga Riding for the Disabled will be celebrating next week with guests and supporters from the Tauranga community for the launch of the Tauranga RDA Foundation.
Trustees Tom Roper, Bill Chapman, Peter Farmer, Janine Hellyer and Tony Mills established the Tauranga RDA Foundation in order to create financial sustainability for the organisation.
The Tauranga RDA Foundation would focus on the establishment of a robust investment portfolio to provide a return capable of contributing in a significant way towards RDA's long term financial security.
Tauranga RDA Foundation Chairman Tom Roper said, "Tauranga RDA is an impressive organisation which provides therapy to more than 100 disabled and at-risk individuals each week - more than 4000 sessions a year producing great outcomes for its clients."
"A group of us want to get behind this team to make sure that in years to come this will all still be available for those in our community who need it."
Guests invited to the event would be able to enjoy refreshments courtesy of Farmer Motor Group and hear words from one of the Tauranga RDA riders and his family.
