Community groups are now invited to register their interest in the BayTrust's Henry Duncan Fund 2.
BayTrust has established a second round of the Henry Duncan Fund with a total of $250,000 per year available starting in 2013.
This time the fund wishes to attract applications to support proactive programmes assisting youth, families or preschool children in developing their potential and working towards full contribution in their community.
The first round of the Henry Duncan Fund was established in 2010 and named in honour of the founder of Savings Banks, Scottish Presbyterian Minister the Reverend Henry Duncan, who opened the world's first-ever savings bank over 200 years ago on May 10, 1810 in Scotland.
The Reverend's vision also led directly to the formation of the Trustee Savings Bank movement in New Zealand and ultimately BayTrust which received almost $90 million from the sale of its shares in Trust Bank NZ in 1996.
