A competition was launched today to give three families the quintessential beach holiday at the now famous Awaroa inlet in Abel Tasman National Park.
Spark said it was open to any of the nearly 40,000 people who had pledged money in the recent Givealittle campaign as well as Spark customers.
Those entering needed to write about what the purchase of the beach meant to them as New Zealanders in 100 words or less.

General manager corporate relations Andrew Pirie paid tribute to Duane Major and Adam Gard'ner for driving a campaign that set a new crowdfunding record.
"These guys are an absolute force of nature," Mr Pirie said. "They've worked tirelessly to drive what is the biggest campaign ever run on Givealittle.
"What they've achieved is truly remarkable and it has taken crowdfunding in New Zealand to a new level - building on the vision Spark Foundation had when it acquired Givealittle just over three years ago."
