Following last year's sell-out event, TEDxAuckland is returning this August.
Taking place on Saturday, 3 August, TEDxAuckland is bringing together some of the country's most interesting minds for a full day of stimulating talks, discussions and learning.
The event will inspire and provoke thought by exposing attendees to a selection of world-changing ideas coming from New Zealand's top designers, artists, scientists and technologists.
Organised by Elliott Blade, TEDxAuckland aims to build on the momentum of last year's event and further strengthen the relationship between New Zealanders and the TEDx platform.
"New Zealand has a high TED saturation, which is something we should be incredibly proud of. This year's TEDxAuckland will present a diverse mix of familiar and emerging Kiwi thinkers who are sure to ignite some great action and conversation. New Zealand is a country founded upon ingenuity, innovation and courage, and it's time that we celebrate our many talents," explains Blade.
Speakers in this year's line-up include chef and award-winning author Robert Oliver; Mayor of Otorohanga and motorcycle enthusiast Dale Williams; and educator, entrepreneur and founder of the Hika programs Sophie Tauwehe Tamati.
TEDxAuckland will take place on Saturday, 3 August in the Aotea Centre. A wide range of speakers are set to take part in the full day event. A complete speaker line up will be announced in July.
