Wanganui Road Rodders Burnout
The Wanganui Road Rodders celebrated their 25th anniversary with a new event this year, burnout competition. Packing out the grandstands, rodders club member Tristan Teki said the burnout competitions were popular around Wanganui and it was something special they wanted to do to commemorate their anniversary. Some competitors jumped into the showmanship of it, one putting special tyres on his car so the smoke from the burnouts was pink. Chronicle photographer Bevan Conley.
