Verging on a vicious cycle
Yesterday afternoon saw about 20 keen or curious cyclists try their skills at velocross at Wanganui's Cooks Gardens velodrome. They discovered that velocross was a mixture of track cycling and BMX, with all the challenges of speed, jumping and manoeuvring around obstacles. The course was a mixture of racing around the velodrome on the boards and navigating obstacles in the centre, with an optional jump. Full story on page 35.
