Turakina Highland Games

Once again, the wind made its appearance at a local event but did not dampen the spirit of the games or the 1000 people who turned up. The chief of the Turakina Caledonian Society, Bruce Cameron, said they were proud of the 147 years the games had been staged and the society would continue to help maintain its traditions and make them relevant in a modern world.
