The Easter Bunny was the busiest bunny in Wanganui on Saturday morning, with three Easter egg hunts to attend — at Windermere Berry Farm, in the CBD and at Kowhai Park. Wanganui Chronicle photographer Lewis Gardner went along to the first two and captured these images.

A rainy day did little to dampen the spirits of those attended the annual Whanganui Festival of Cultures. Wanganui Chronicle photographer Bevan Conley captured these images from the event, which attracted around 5000 people.

Chronicle photographer Bevan Conley joined up with local paintball team Disturbed on a practice run ahead of the the national paintball tournament held in Wanganui over the weekend. The five-man team is in it's first season. Players shoot about 600 rounds each per game, 12.5 rounds a second with shots travelling about 300 feet per second. Sunday’s competition was won by Feilding team the Expendables who have now won the overall competition with a round to spare. That final round will also be held in Wanganui at the Country Club next month.
