2013 Relay for Life
Wanganui's Cooks Gardens became a tent city at the weekend for the Cancer Society's 2013 Relay for Life. Members of 51 teams kept people on the track walking or running for 24 hours, from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday. Games and entertainment were provided to keep them going. Many were in costume and had come in memory of a loved one, or in celebration of someone's recovery. Wanganui Chronicle photographer BEVAN CONLEY mingled with the crowds.
