Last week I wrote about some of the projects that we have been working on, as well as reflecting upon the regular activities that are a part of the community service that we provide.
It has been hugely invigorating to be in partnership with a planning group of 10 dynamic women from across the business and community sectors to revive the Whanganui Women in Business initiative.
The support we have received demonstrates its desirability, so much so that our Launch Party sold out at the end of last week. At 5.30pm, [Wednesday, July 26] 150 women will fill the function room at the Grand Hotel for an evening extravaganza.
It is our hope that this newly reinvigorated initiative will provide opportunities for inspiration, social connection and a place for local businesses and projects to shine.
Thanks to my friends and colleagues who make up the planning team, our wonderful sponsors and everyone who has bought a ticket, sent a message, or stopped to chat.
And for those of you who missed out on a ticket for the Launch Party, there will be plenty more events and activities for you to join in as we continue on our way.
The super talented Sarah Williams from Space Studio and Gallery on Taupo Quay, and myself are very pleased to be revealing our full Winter Wonderfest line-up this week.
Call in to pick a programme up, find one lurking in a local café, or check out all the details on the More FM or Space websites, as well as our Facebook pages.
There's plenty on offer to lure you out of your homes!
