Wanganui darts youngsters have had a big time of it recently, while leading player Craig Dunn has reached No3 New Zealand ranking and been selected for the national side to play Australia.
The youngsters' success comes from double national titles won by Dunn's 13-year-old daughter Alannah - junior girls' singles and pairs, a second by Aiden Simpson in the New Zealand Chartered Clubs youth (18-23) singles in Blenheim and a national youth pairs title and a third equal in the youth singles by 15-year-old Harley Smith in Dunedin.
And Smith was also second in the national Chartered Clubs youth singles event - and second in the consolation pairs.
Alannah's New Zealand singles title came at the expense of West Coast team-mate Tamika Bevan (Levin), and these two then combined to take the national pairs' title in their age-group.
They were the only members of their age-group to qualify from the West Coast zone.
