Top round one qualifiers Ruapehu will be aiming to continue their winning form in game one of the second round of the Wanganui premier rugby competition when they meet Marist at Spriggens Park today.
Ruapehu enter round two with 17 points, while Marist have just 10.5.
But the spread perhaps belies the possible outcome of today's clash. In round one Marist ran Ruapehu very close in an away game at Ohakune, going down 30-27 at the final whistle.
Marist had led 20-8 at half-time but got run down late by a rampant Ruapehu.
Marist are also coming off a 27-12 victory over Marton, at Marton, in the final game of round one two weeks ago, while Ruapehu will be coming in fresh, having not played for three weeks because of a bye.
