Wanganui's rep cricket team suffered another first innings failure in the Hawke Cup match against Manawatu.
The two-dayer at Manawaroa Park in Palmerston North was cut in half when rain washed out Saturday's play.
Better weather meant a full day yesterday and made it an especially good toss to win. Manawatu got that right, and much else besides, as they put Wanganui in and then blew them out for 109.
It was a batting display to bring back memories of the 68 all-out against Taranaki in the last round and was particularly disappointing as Wanganui were boosted by the return of Central Districts batsman Ben Smith.
Only Marton's Dom Rayner (19), Collegiate's Henry Collier (17), skipper Mark Fraser (14), and United's Dom Carroll (11 not-out) and Andrew McCaa (10) made double digits.
