A rained out fixture prevented Central Districts Under 17 and their Wanganui Collegiate batsmen Sam Sherriff from finishing runnerup in the national tournament at Auckland's Te Atatu Park.
Both of CD's fixtures on Friday against Otago and Northern Districts were rained out.
However, the other four teams were able to at least play their afternoon Twenty20 match and Canterbury handed tournament winner Auckland their only defeat by seven wickets.
Moving into Saturday's T20 games and CD defeated winless Otago by four wickets, bowling them out for 93 and reaching 96-6 in the 17th over, with Sherriff scoring 11 from 20 balls.
However, Auckland and Canterbury comfortably won their last games over Wellington and Northern Districts respectively to finish 1-2 on the points table, with Canterbury ahead of CD by one bonus point.
