Two teens arrested for robbery of a Whanganui liquor store now also stand accused of robbing a petrol station days earlier.
Tamehana Thompson, 17, and Tangata Thomas-Paenui, 19, are both being held in custody after appearances in the Whanganui District Court yesterday.
Both are charged with two counts of aggravated robbery relating to the robberies of the BP Whanganui East petrol station last Tuesday and the Black Bull Liquor Store - also in Whanganui East - on Thursday.
On both occasions alcohol, cigarettes and cash is said to have been stolen.
Thompson applied for bail but Judge Dugald Matheson declined the application and ordered him to appear in court again next Tuesday.
