One of Palmerston North's longest serving fashion stores said thanks to the community last Friday by offering more than $40,000 worth of free clothing and homeware.
Ezibuy celebrated its 35th birthday by erecting a clothesline more than 50 metres long in their carpark, featuring more than 450 items.
Customers were invited to unpeg an item off the line for themselves or for one of three charities.
Chief executive Simon West said the national celebration was especially important in the city where the multi-million dollar business began.
"This is a national celebration but we wanted to have our birthday bash in the city where it all began: Palmerston North."
