A talented group of youngsters are in rehearsals for a showstopping performance in Wanganui on Friday.
The kids were members of the Showstoppers troupe under the Wanganui YMCA holiday programme and over the duration of their two-week course were learning to make videos, learn dance routines, make films and television commercials, act in skits and design sets and costumes - all with a strong rugby theme.
Under the watchful eye of Showstoppers tutor Loraine Trinidad, the 13 children (ranging in age between 7 and 12) were split into two groups - The Sweet Little Angels and The Evil Shufflers - and taken through their paces, the results of which will culminate in a public performance at the YMCA Recreation Centre in Wicksteed St at 11.30am.
"The Showstoppers programme is about dance and drama, and the chance to explore different areas of expression.
"It's about getting the kids out of their comfort zones to find their creative sides.
