One of television's most-loved stars has died at the ripe old age of 91 - at least in dog years.
Spot, the Telecom Jack Russell who starred in 43 advertisements and once featured in a poll as preferred PM, was 13 in calendar years.
Telecom's tribute to its nimble canine said he had that special blend of charisma, skill and professionalism that made him a star.
Spokeswoman Jane Austin said Spot embodied the "can-do" spirit.
"He was a charming dog who could do hundreds of tricks. People took him to their hearts - we received a constant stream of fan mail for him over the years."
