A bee farmer has captured the moment dozens of bees attacked a fishing spider who crawled a little too close to their hive.
Zaur Man, a bee farmer in Charleston, South Carolina, shared the astonishing footage on his YouTube page.
The dramatic video shows the honey bees surrounding the spiderbefore they eventually paralyse and overpower the arachnid.
"This is a powerful hunting spider that does not spin a prey-catching snare," the clip explains. "It is stalking its prey rather than snaring it in webs."
It adds: "These spiders can often be found under the lids of my hives. Bees do not pay attention to this spider yet, because they do not see any danger."
Mr Man, who sells honey and bees from his online company, Fast Bees, has shared a number of incredible videos on his YouTube page, including his bees taking on a praying mantis.
His latest bees v spider video racked up almost a million hits in less than a week.
