Want to learn how to get your managers more on-key? Make your company hum along in harmony? Turn your dissonance into resonance?
The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra is showing business leaders how to make sweet music as a part of The Music Paradigm experience.
Wellington's business community gets its turn tonight, while Auckland executives had their chance on Friday afternoon.
The executives sit in the middle of the orchestra and are invited to feel the group dynamics of "making music together" or understanding new ways to approach teamwork and leadership.
Developed by American conductor Roger Nierenberg, the "stimulating" experience is being tried by corporations worldwide that are seeking solutions for communication problems.
Not only that, but orchestras - which are always being told they should be run more like businesses - are showing that, perhaps, businesses should be run more like orchestras.
