Wairarapa's Jack Lemon emerged at the head of his 15 contemporaries at the end of the AG Challenge Championship tournament at the Wanganui East Club on Sunday night.
The 16 premier players were split into four sections, with the pool play qualifiers held on Saturday and the post-section games on Sunday.
The matches were a best-of-three format, while the final was best-of-five.
Lemon won the final over Wanganui's Steve Matthews, while brother Willie Matthews won the plate competition.
Mike Healey and Nick Hinga were the other local competitors in the field.
