Enazuma can overcome trap

By Peter Fenemor

The TAB bonus injection into all Quaddies at every racing meeting in the country during the week continues during this evening's Hatrick meeting, where an additional $5000 will be added to the Quaddie pool.

As usual the Quaddie commences on race 9 (8.34pm) when the open-class sprinters will be in action.

The locally trained Enazuma can beat the lousy five-trap draw she has here, from where she can go two places better than her third place here last Friday.

Ciao For Now is resuming from a six-week spell and a competitive fresh-up sprint wouldn't surprise.

Watch out if Cool Charmer correctly picks the start here.

She has been know to ping away smartly at trap rise and she is quite capable of leading this field throughout by doing so here.

Also, consider Cheetah Woods as the possible Quaddie upset prospect here.

Backyard Bully won the feature C4 race here last Friday by pinging away from the eight trap.

He has drawn there again and repeat tactics by him can see him serving up a repeat dose in the second Quaddie leg.

Zamadato was brave in running second to him and perhaps with a clearer early racing passage he is capable of being able to reverse that result. And watch out for Retaliate First to be sighted storming home late.

On to the third leg where any one of the eight sprinters engaged here can win without surprising.

The inside drawn quartet of Another Move, Direct Response, Cawbourne Steffi and Iona Haka are all capable of being able to leap on to the early pace and that will be a huge advantage here if they do so.

Drawing the ace trap in the last suggests that Homebush Britney can make her presence strongly felt.

However, the recent downgraded open-class sprinter Flying Flynn is likely to be sighted stalking her and he owns the strength to finish over the top of her.
