Opie Bosson knows he's in pretty good shape and is confident that his mount in today's Auckland Cup, Wanganui horse Titch, will be, too.
"I've been racing in Singapore and Dubai and only got into the country on Saturday night, so I haven't seen him," said Bosson last night.
That shouldn't matter at Ellerslie today as the pair have history on their side.
A year ago Bosson rode Titch to a dominant victory in the Stella Artois Auckland Cup, beating favourite Showcause.
"Last year's race went perfectly to plan and he's got a big chance tomorrow," said the 31-year-old jockey, though he admitted to concerns about being drawn at 12.
