1. HIGHLIFE AT STONYRIDGE VINEYARD
Kick up your heels on Waiheke Island at Highlife. The party - with performers and the all-important fireworks display - begins at 2pm, and features international music acts such as Ron Carroll and Sean Finn along with Auckland DJs Karn Hall, Jarrod Phillips and the Beat Mafia.
What to wear: A "summer chic" dress code has been instated so be sure to leave your board shorts and jandals at home. Slip into this Stylestalker dress, which blends a pretty tropical print with a party dress punch.
2. BRITOMART BEACH PARTY
Didn't quite make it to the beach? Britomart brings it to you with four tonnes of sand bought into the precinct to help you get that 'sand between your toes' feeling minus the camping in a paddock aspect. The R18 event spans across Britomart's usual suspects, including 1885, Britomart Country Club, Orleans and more.
What to wear: Possibly the only occasion where jandals may be acceptable in the city...but we would go for a pair of Pedro Garcia leather sandals from Lineage nearby on Te Ara Tahuhu Walking St.
3.CLASSIC NEW YEAR'S EVE COMEDY COUNTDOWN
Fancy one last laugh before 2015 begins? Ben Hurley of 7 Days hosts The Comedy Clubs "Comedy Countdown", with 12 acts including Jaime Bowen, Rhys Mathewson and Alan McElroy.
What to wear: A cheeky slogan T-shirt - think Stolen Girlfriends Club's 'Yuppie Scum' Tee.
4. FAMILY FRIENDLY
Mt Eden: That old classic: grab dinner and wander up Mt Eden to take in the sights of the city, and watch as fireworks explode from the top of the Sky Tower when the clock strikes midnight.
Mission Bay:If you're with the family, take the kids to Mission Bay and dine at one of the bars and eateries. Or, take your own tucker and head straight to the beach with a perfect picnic area and playground.
What to wear: Juliette Hogan's silk slip dress will put a little party into your picnic - just remember a jacket for later on.
5. NEW YEAR'S DREAM COCKTAIL CRUISE
For a slightly more romantic evening grab a glass of bubbles, nibble on canapes and sail across the Viaduct for a touch of tranquility, or hit the dance floor.
What to wear: Throw on Kate Sylvester's wrap-style dress and wear with party shoes like these gold heels by Stewart Weitzman.
6. GO OUT FOR DINNER...
- Party into the wee hours on Ponsonby Rd, with a plethora of bars and restaurants to suit every taste. Pop into Blue Breeze for a bite to eat then head fashion favourite Golden Dawn nearby.
- Secure a spot at Ostro for harbour views, a stylish crowd and delicious food.
- Grab dinner at Baduzzi then head out to one of the many waterfront bars nearby.
- Head to Hotel DeBrett on High St for a special four course NYE dinner and performance from Clo Chaperon Trio.
What to wear: This Sass and Bide tailored jumpsuit will take you from dinner to dance floor - add fun accessories like Karen Walker's flower earrings.
