The Taranaki Garden & Rhododendron Festival features over 50 gardens, including one of international significance. Special gardens range from a Japanese tea house to organic vege gardens. Support events include speakers, a jazz and wine series, markets and exhibitions. It runs october 30 to november 8.
Artistic inspiration The Auckland Art Gallery's school holiday programme is inspired by the free exhibition Rita Angus: Life & Vision. The two-hour workshops start at 10am and cost $12.
