How I travel: Blair Strang

Do you travel light or heavy?
I try to travel light but inevitably always pack more. I always go with only two pairs of shoes - casual and dressy.

Cattle or first class?
I've been an actor for 13 years, so always cattle. Now that I'm a lawyer maybe first class - one day!

I can't travel without ...
My jeans and a shaver.

What type of suitcase do you carry?
One with wheels.

What's always in your hand luggage?
My wallet and cellphone.

Are you a planner or last-minute packer?
Last-minute - have packed one hour beforehand and forgotten my underpants.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
Soviet Army gear after the fall of the Berlin wall in the 1990s.

Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Heathrow.

Best travel tip?
Try to sleep on the plane - and don't get drunk on a long flight. You often get drunk really quickly and end up having a hangover for a very long journey.

Most memorable trip?
I have two - my first time to London when I was 18 with my best mate, and my recent trip to Japan - loved being able to choose different movies.

What do you do while on the plane?
Usually watch a movie and sleep - I can't read on planes as I get airsick.
