Myself, Madelein, Willem and Amelia would like to thank each and every one of you for the kindness you have shown us since our home was destroyed by fire.
From the fire brigade who did everything possible, to the people who donated clothes or food, each and every one of you has touched our hearts.
We have friends who immediately opened their homes and hearts to us, Ina and John Fouche, Leonie Du Plessie, Annemarie Pease, Pete and Hilary Keift, Becky and John Sheed, Jackie Barr. The list seems endless, the kindness and sympathy shown was incredible.
Then there are businesses like Jason Kowaleski and the management at Amity Court, the team at Vero insurance, the staff at ANZ bank, McDonald Real Estate, Megan and Matt Dimock, the team at ITM - so many businesses and individuals who went out of their way to do something kind for us.
The staff and students at Willem's school, Amelia's kindy, the staff and customers at the Shakee Pear where Madelein works, everyone has been so good to us.
Our church, and other churches, which were so generous and supportive and continue to offer us spiritual and emotional support now.
Every person who ever took two minutes to offer us kindness, through donating of clothes or toys, or just a kind word when we needed it most, we thank you.
Together all of you have made Stratford feel like our home, and we will always be grateful.
