New Zealand Heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker met with Doctor John Mayhew who administered a cortisone injection. Doctor Mayhew believes Parker may experience some discomfort today but will be okay come fight night and sees no medical reasons why he could not fight. Trainer Kevin Barry was more optimistic and confident that Parker will be at his peak performance come fight night.
