(Murmur)
A second album of adenoidal fuzzpop from the young Perth quartet who were here recently widening their teen fan base to this side of the Tasman.
If Aussie labelmates silverchair were once Nirvana in pyjamas, it seems Jebediah might well be the junior division Foo Fighters. Which makes them adept at both soppy, sensitive strumalongs like Love at Last and the noisily country Happier Sad, as well as hooky headrushes like standout track Animal, In Orbit and opener Did You Really?, with a helping of jittery guitar melodicism elsewhere, like the swirling semi-orchestral grand finale Run of the Company and jagged ballad Please Leave. A few so-so tracks deflate the momentum this achieves early on, but there's an attractively brash energy, humour and tune-smarts to Jebediah to make one await that oncoming maturity with interest.
