Kiwi NBA centre Steven Adams has posted a "double-double", but his Oklahoma City Thunder have slumped to their second straight road loss, falling to 112-123 Charlotte Hornets.
Adams scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, adding three assists, a steal and block over 35 minutes.
He continued his blistering form from the field, shooting 8/10 attempts and bringing his percentage to 80.7 (21/28) over the past three games.
The Thunder fell behind early and trailed 55-60 at half-time against the surprising Hornets, but took a one-point lead into the final quarter. Charlotte finished the stronger, with nine unanswered points in the final four minutes.
Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 33 points and 15 rebounds, but missing his 17th "triple-double" of the season. Frenchman Nic Batum had 28 points for the Hornets.
OKC fall to 21 wins and 15 losses for the season, and return home to face former Thunder guard James Harden and the Houston Rockets tomorrow (NZ time).
