Two-time Olympic medallist Nick Willis has had the honour of throwing out the first pitch at a Detroit Tigers game today.
Willis, who resides in nearby Ann Arbor, took part in the ceremonial first pitch before the Tigers' home game against the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park.
The pitch thrown by the middle distance runner looked to land outside the strike zone but it got an OK from the Tigers' Twitter account.
First pitch in an hour. Sierra promises not to laugh (to my face) if I grubber it! pic.twitter.com/YCEP7hFXEJ— Nick Willis (@nickwillis) September 14, 2016
