Its shaping up to be a golden weekend for New Zealand golfers, led by Lydia Ko as she makes her way to the top of the leader board once again. Ko now leads the US Womens Open by one shot as she looks to claim her third Major Championship of her career.
But be aware, there are many more New Zealand golfers in contention around the globe. Danny Lee, Ryan Fox and Michael Hendry are all in the running for the title in their respective events.
The Olympic battle between Fox and Hendry is on a knife edge, as they both sit inside the top 10 after three rounds. Hendry is in a rich vein of form but will struggle to chase down the leaders this afternoon who have 10 strokes on him.
Fox is trailing by three shots heading into the final day of the D+D REAL Slovakia Challenge. An opening round of 65 got him off to a flyer and he will now be looking to repeat that tonight and secure his position in Olympic Qualification.
In the lead up to the Open Championship, Lee is showing very positive signs and will be looking to make up the same three shot deficit at the Scottish Open. In a very strong field this will be doing him the world of good before his second appearance at the Open.
