The Dallas Mavericks have taken game two of their NBA playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, leveling the series 1-1 after an 85-84 road victory.

In the final seconds, Kiwi Steven Adams had a buzzer-beating game-winner disallowed, and the Thunder were denied a 2-0 series lead.

Adams finished the game with 9 points and 7 rebounds on 4-6 shooting.

Thunder stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combined for an inefficient 40 points, making 15 shots on 55 attempts.

As a team, the Thunder shot just 33% from the field, and were 7-32 from three point range.

Point guard Raymond Felton led the way for the Mavericks, scoring 21 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the win.

The series now heads to Dallas, with game three set to take place on Friday (NZ time).
