Scotland's Gary Anderson has defended his world darts championship title after defeating England's Adrian Lewis 7-5 today.
The Flying Scotsman took out the maximum 170 check-out to break Lewis' throw in the 12th set.
Lewis was the last player to win back to back titles in 2012.
It was a tight affair throughout before Anderson pulled away late for his second title.
Lewis opened strongly, before Anderson got on a roll to take two sets in a row. However miscounting and poor throwing allowed Lewis back into the match to level the scores at 2-2 and then 3-3.
Anderson took control to head into a 6-4 lead before Lewis attempted a comeback to take make it 6-5 before the Scotsman closed out the final.
