Most footballers go their whole career without scoring from halfway. But German lower-leaguer Stefan Seufert can boast an own goal from that distance.

Straight from the 'see it to believe it' file, the Schweinfurt midfielder flew into a tackle on the halfway line and ended up beating his own keeper with the follow through.

Schweinfurt went on to lose 3-0 in the match to 1860 Munich's reserve side, but you just know the post-match debrief was full of sniggers and gags about this ridiculous strike.
