After several weeks of negotiations, declarations and salutations, the formalities are finally complete. Benji Marshall is coming to the Blues.
The former Wests Tigers star announced his move in a video on Youtube this morning and the clip has already had thousands of views. But they will pale in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of eyeballs which have glazed over Benji's Youtube highlight reel throughout the last decade.
So, what can Blues fans expect to see from their new arrival? Here are some of the top moments of the last decade from one of rugby league's biggest stars.
'That pass' in the NRL final
"The 2005 Grand Final will always be remembered as the first Premiership success for joint venture club the Wests Tigers. But it will be remembered for a stroke of genius from a miraculous young players, called Benji Marshall," Phil Gould.
Benji leads the Kiwis to Four Nations:
The Kiwis added the Four Nations to their World Cup Rugby League title with a thrilling last-gasp 16-12 win over Australia in Brisbane in 2010.
With the Kiwis trailing 12-10 and only one minute and 41 seconds left, Benji Marshall showed his champion qualities.
"The brilliance of Marshall is such that the Kangaroos felt they had his measure for the vast majority of the match. Yet he still made them pay," said Glenn Jackson from the Sydney Morning Herald.
"He played 34 matches that year - more than any other man in the NRL. But when his country needed him, Benji Marshall responded.
Benji stars in World Cup final win
Benji was also a stand-out performer in the 2008 World Cup final, as he led the Kiwis to an improbable 34-20 triumph over the Kangaroos.
