Forget second rowers and props, this week was time for the backs to shine.
Rabbitohs 28 Cowboys 10
The star: John Sutton and Ben Te'o (52pts) - both of these guys registered their best fantasy scores of the season with Sutton nailing down his second consecutive 50-point game. Both are in top form.
The dud: Ashley Graham (9pts) - a very quiet game from Graham, his worst of the fantasy season. There are better backs for the price but he's still not the worst option.
Value pick: Rory Kostjasyn (37pts) - he only costs 97k, the perfect front row bench player.
Tigers 6 Sharks 30
The star: Robbie Farah (60pts) - the wily master does it again, he's a beast and mainstay of many fantasy squads every year.
The dud: Beau Ryan (13pts) - the Sharks had a great night on offence but unfortunately that didn't involve Ryan.
Value pick: Anthony Tupou (43pts) - he came recommended this week, so I hope you were reading. With Paul Gallen out he played his best game of the season - though don't count on it lasting much longer as Gallen is known for his fast recovery rate.
Warriors 16 Bulldogs 24
The star: Michael Ennis (60pts) - another recommended starter, another top performance - once again, get Ennis in your side.
The dud: Shaun Johnson (15pts) - Johnson was shut down and missed more than his fair share of tackles in this one. He could bounce back this weekend against the Panthers, depending on which Penrith side shows up.
Value pick: Trent Hodkinson (37pts) - Todd Lowrie could easily be here again, but I've gone with Hodkinson to point out he may suffer points-wise with the return of Krisnan Inu from suspension as he should lose the kicking duties.
Eels 19 Broncos 18
The star: Joseph Paulo (56pts) - he's been a consistent 30+ points-scorer in the lock position but this week a try and over 100m gained lifted him to a season-best fantasy total.
The dud: Josh Hoffman (11pts) - and here's where my advice goes wrong. I presumed, along with many, that the Eels would leak points against the Broncos. That didn't happen and it's another dud performance from Hoffman.
Value pick: Sam Thaiday (50pts) - he appears here once again. He's showing a tendency to see-saw his totals from week-to-week though, so if that trend continues he may be slightly less effective next week.
