Art: "Danger Signs" by urban artist Anah Dunsheath at Parnell's Artis Gallery is a comment on the 'orangeing' of Auckland (i.e the proliferation of road cones in our city) and well worth a visit. It's part of the Naturally Urbane exhibition which runs from 22 May - 11 June.

Picture this #1: This 10-year old likes the Hulk, but is not so keen on the Kardashian's...

Picture this #2: A new installation by street artist Banksy where he repurposes a public shrub...

Telly: From the dudes that bought you 7 Days, Hounds is a comedy set at the greyhound track starts next Friday. I've watched the first couple of episodes and it reminded me of Aussie classic The Castle - it reeks of kiwiness, is darkly funny and is bound to offend even if they changed the name of the greyhound called Lundybainwatson.

Music: The makers of this CD compilation called Punk had no idea what punk was....

Local: Spewing has always been big at Otago University, but it has never been so colourful or co-ordinated.

Video: Opening a beer with a chainsaw... (Now that's skill)

Badvertising: This bread ad is...er, hot?

Technology: Honda's personal mobility device (just what people need; more sitting down)

Fashion: Your wedding just got cosier...introducing the Ugg Boot Wedding Collection. "Covered in sparkly sequins and bound with satin, it is sure to turn heads and stand out in a crowd whether walking down the aisle, during pre-wedding pampering, or as luxurious gifts for the wedding party."

Media: You've heard all about the inquiry into the ethics of the British press following the News International phone hacking scandal, now enjoy Leveson: The Musical. Brilliant!

Slinky on a treadmill: The use of the soundtrack only enhances the Epic-ness of this video...

Local: A cutesy and cutting explanation of our 'Natural Standards' education system using a delightful fruit and veg metaphor...
