A man has been arrested following a police pursuit through busy central city streets in Rotorua.
A police spokeswoman said police were notified of a family harm incident in Fordlands about 2.15pm on Saturday.
A vehicle left the scene and the driver allegedly failed to stop for police, the spokeswoman said.
She said the vehicle fled through several streets in the central city, including Hillcrest Rd, Devon St, Fenton St, Victoria St and Ranolf St, in a pursuit lasting between 5 and 10 minutes.
Spikes were laid down on Fenton St but they failed to stop the vehicle, she said.
