Rotorua's Barry Jenkins has a case of royal fever but he's not the only one.
Thousands are expected to turn out to greet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they visit the Waikato town of the same name this weekend as part of their 10-day tour of New Zealand.
Yesterday the royal couple and their 8-month-old son Prince George landed in Wellington on a Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft, to be greeted by Prime Minister John Key and wet, windy weather.
The couple will stay in Wellington for a few days before travelling to Blenheim and Auckland, then to Cambridge on Saturday. Mr Jenkins said he would join a group of eight people and make the hour-long journey to the town to get a glimpse of the royals.
"It's going to be a wonderful day. We've got our New Zealand flags ready and we're going to dress up and give them a big welcome," he said. "We wouldn't miss it for the world."
