Songstress Amiria Grenell is rapidly catching up to her illustrious father, John Grenell, in the music world.
John Grenell has been at the forefront of country folk music in New Zealand for more than 40 years.
Now his daughter, Amiria, is winning the same sort of praise for her musicianship.
The Christchurch-based singer/song writer teamed up with Tauranga folk duo Nathan and Amy Straker, of Brother&Sister, receiving a standing ovation from a full house at the end of a 90-minute concert at St Chad's Community Hall on Saturday.
"It was so nice we were able to get a full house, we were completely blown away with the response," Amiria said.
