For any summer camp, you need all of the S's.

That is slip, slop, slap plus sun, sea, sand, surfing and sweltering in the heat.

The 2013 Rotorua Lakes High School Year 13 camp at Ohope fulfilled all the criteria.

While the camp was about enhancing our leadership skills, making friends and working as a team, there was no reason not to have a great time.

And we all had a fantastic time.

Over the four days we participated in team building activities with the police, surfed, sea kayaked, swam and had night time concerts and skits.

We also competed in a number of inter-house challenges.

Tarawera House came out on top, just beating Tikitapu House to claim supremacy.

A great time was had by all and it was an amazing way to start our last school year.

A big thanks to all the teachers who came and also to our friendly local policemen, Neil and Rob.
