Mrs Didovich, formerly of Rotorua but now living in Huntly, said shaving her hair had been a long-held goal.
"You make a bucket list, sometimes you've got to do something outside the square."
On her fundraising website the target has been put at $1000 but Mrs Didovich said she'd be delighted to raise $500.
To help with that, she's put posters in depots along her truck runs and said the support from her mainly male colleagues has been overwhelmingly positive.
Cory, who lost his own hair during chemotherapy, will be one interested spectator when his aunt goes under the razor.
"Cory is going to come and watch, he's quite intrigued."
Although Cory's hair has grown back, Mrs Didovich's new 'do may just give her a passing resemblance to another family member.
"My husband was going to do it with me but he's already got a number one [hair cut]."
