Rotorua's Kaituna River was the scene of some over-the-top action this week after a visit from stunt team the Nitro Circus.
About 45 members of the Nitro Circus were in Rotorua on Thursday getting a taste of what the city offers its millions of visitors.
The dare-devil collective of dirtbike, BMX and pretty much anything with wheels riders, had a team lunch at the Ogo site on Mt Ngongotaha before being taken out to the Kaituna River for some action on the white water.
After a few hours on the water with rafting company Rotorua Rafting, local BMXer Ryan Lucas set up his jump ramp above the pool just above Trout Pool Falls and pulled off a few tricks.
Taupo's Jed Mildon, the first person in the world to pull off a triple back flip on a BMX bike, and member of the Nitro Circus, also had a few turns jumping into the river.
Photographer and kayaker Josh Neilson took some great photos of the fun and sent them to The Daily Post.
