Organisers of Rhythm Rotorua have announced the line-up playing at this year's Auckland Anniversary event.

The line-up includes rhythm and blues foot-stomping show Brilleaux led by Graham Clark and Bruce Rolands, iconic Rotorua band Cairo, Wizard & Oz duo Andrew Farrel and David McMillan, Tauranga's B-Side Band with their own brand of blues and roots music with a home grown Kiwi flavour, Harley Kruz and Rotorua's premium country band The Geyserlanders.

BluesFeast Trust secretary Anita Loderus said this year's event, aimed at those aged 40-plus, promised to be just as great as in previous years.

It will be a celebration of great music, good food, fine wines and boutique beers, Mrs Loderus said.

Cairo is returning for an encore performance with Rewa Utuataonga on vocals while The Geyserlanders have a special 16-year-old singing guest, Aroha Te Whau, on vocals.

This is the sixth year the music event has been held and the second under its new name, Rhythm Rotorua - previously known as Rotorua BluesFeast.

This year has been planned to be just as good with the wide range of local, national and international entertainers taking to the stage, she said.

"Without exception the BluesFeast Trust has produced another great line-up of music, including country, blues, originals and rock, featuring the best of local talent plus some national and overseas musical icons."
