Scared of monsters? You might be after seeing the Demon Energy Biggest Baddest Monster Truck, FMX and Stunt Tour in Taupo this Saturday night.
The show is New Zealand's biggest tour of monster trucks, utes and FMX bikes, all jumping, crushing and smashing, and all for the first time in Taupo.
There will be massive monster trucks racing and freestyle motocross back flipping. Watch the five-tonne Terror Trip Monster Truck jump through the air over cars. Plus there's clowns, stunts and adrenalin-pumping action.
World record holder Ian Soanes performs a mile of stunts, including V8 jeep wheelies, driving a 4x4 on its two side wheels, spectacular motorcycle and three-wheeler stunts and more.
One of the show's stars, gutsy 14-year old Tyrin Soanes (following in dad Ian's footsteps) holds the world record for being the youngest in the world by eight years to drive a car on its two side wheels. Tyrin's recently been recovering from a nasty quad bike crash at a show in New Plymouth where he ended up with a concussion and broken wrist.
He'll perform a range of quad bike wheelies if his doctor gives him the go-ahead.
As well, there'll be FMX aerial displays and monster truck jumps and races.
And if you want to come and have a chat to the show's stuntmen about their death-defying deeds, they'll be at the Spa Hotel on Saturday after the show.
Tickets cost $30 to $35 for adults and $15 for kids aged 3 to 15 years. Under 3s are free. A family pass is $70 to $90. Tickets are available at www.monstertrucks.co.nz.
