Some of Rotorua's most influential mountainbikers are to feature in a documentary film to premier in the city next week.
Trailnotes is about the mountainbiking lifestyle in Rotorua and is the debut film for New Zealand production company Cadre Productions.
The film features four of Rotorua's mountainbiking legends - Vanessa Quin, Craig Pattle, Malcolm "Red" McHale and Gary "Gaz" Sullivan.
Quin is a former world downhill champion, Pattle a former national champion and professional rider, Mr McHale is a community work supervisor and has been building tracks in the forest for more than 20 years, and Mr Sullivan designs and produces mountainbiking clothing.
Producer Nick Stevenson said the film was a collection of stories capturing the lifestyles of passionate mountainbikers from the mountainbiking mecca of Rotorua and the infamous trails of the Whakarewarewa Forest.
