"With the support of my family and friends I will face this issue head on and get the necessary help and rehabilitation I need to move forward with my life and career in a positive way.
"I am prepared to face a judicial inquiry and abide by any penalties handed to me for my conduct.
"Once again I am sincerely sorry for my shortcomings and behaviour, but am heartened by others that have been able to rise above their addictions and I am determined to achieve this." -Lisa Cropp
Mike Dillon's open letter to Lisa Cropp
"This is not a criticism Lisa, but do you think it might have been a good idea to get that help before you came back riding, just 19 days before your drug test.
"There is a lot of evidence on how horribly addictive methamphetamine is and that won't change.
"Which is why I wrote the book Riding with the Devil - the Lisa Cropp story. You saw it as a criticism of yourself - it was not - it was a hate session on the horrors of methamphetamine.
"Many experts are saying it is almost impossible for longtime users of meth to get off the stuff.
Lisa prove them wrong and use that determination that took you to the top of just about every racing country you took on.
"We miss your rare and extraordinary talent and the racing industry would love to see you get completely clean.
"You're not a quitter. Try harder.
"There will always be doubters, always be critics, but there is no limit to what can be achieved with absolute determination.
"Whether subsequent events will allow you to ride again or not, for everyone's sake, get this right.
"You have been as good as we've had."
