Registering for Your Views and Blogs is simple and will only take a couple of minutes. Once you've registered, you'll be able to register to comment on the latest Blogs or issues being discussed on Your Views.
Where do I register?
Within a Your Views page or a Blog you will notice a blue speech bubble (like the one above) at the top of the page with the word "comments" next to it. Here you can choose to "View" or "Add" comments.
How do I register?
Step 1: Within a Blog or Your Views page, click on "Add" next to the blue speech bubble. This will take you to the bottom of the page where you can add your comment. Once you have completed your comment, click on "Submit Comment" and then "New User".
Step 2: We then ask that you to enter a few details e.g. your name, email address, a display name, password and which country you live in and ask you to accept our terms and conditions. You also have the option of whether you want to sign up to receive emails from us about nzherald.co.nz promotions or services.
Step 3: At the bottom of the registration page you'll need to copy a couple of words to help us to stop spam coming in. If you can't read it, there is an audio option to listen to the letters.
Step 4: An email will then be sent to the address you supplied.
IMPORTANT: If it is not there, please check your spam (junk email) folder just in case. This is especially so if your ISP is Xtra or you use Gmail.
Step 5: The email will say: "Please click on the link to confirm your email address."
Once you have clicked on the link, you can either log in or simply click to the view the story you commented on. To log in just enter your email address and password.
